We can definitely help get your 2016 Ford Transit Connect setup to tow a trailer. The first thing you need is a trailer hitch, which for that the Draw Tite part # 75852 is a really great option with plenty of towing capacity that also installs easily.

It's very tempting to get the 12 volt power source for the trailer wiring # 118613 from the outlet you mentioned on your 2017 Ford Transit Connect but we cannot recommend this as the reason it needs to run up to the vehicle battery is so that it bypasses any factory wiring and protects it in the event of a short. I spoke with my contact at DeeZee and the cap of the DeeZee Truck Bed Auxiliary Tank # DZ91752X that you referenced starts to vent at 4 psi. I also showed them the picture you sent in and they said they weren't able to give directions on how it should be wired or installed as it's not one of their pumps.
